Now that Mycheal Bell, the 17 year old charged with felony aggravated battery, from the Jena 6, has received some sort of justice, whats going to happen to the people who did this? I don't mean the White High Schoolers in Jena, I mean, what is going to happen to the prosecuter who had his head so far up his butt? Probably nothing, why would anything happen? So, the Jena 6 has started to gain a lot of attention, which I'm so happy for. There are many "Jena 6" facebook groups, which many of my friends have joined. Now that Bell will most likely be retried as a minor, what will happen to the other 5? I just have too many questions. I have written about the West Memphis 3, but I guess that's old news. Both are equally important, one included an inexperienced West Memphis, Arkansas police force, no evidence, and Metalica, the other includes the issue of racial bias in Jena, Louisiana, and both include a fucked up judicial system. I was arguing with some guy in school about it, and he said they should be charged with attempted murder because they knocked the victim unconscious. I have seen some pretty bad fights at school, infact some one was jumped, and knocked out, or atleast seemed to be, for a short time. No one was arrested, people were suspended for 10 days, and that was the extent of the problem. I'm not condoning they're actions, but does the punishment fit the crime? Doesn't the constitution protect us from cruel and unusual punishment? I guess we'll find out pretty soon.
Please keep the West Memphis Three and the Jena 6 in your minds.
